CRISTIAN STANCULESCU is the Founder and CEO of OPTIM Group, which he established in 2004 to provide accounting, tax, legal, consulting, and auditing services to foreign investors in Romania. Since 2012, OPTIM Group is the official representative of CPAAI in Romania, one of the top worldwide networks of accounting firms with offices in 65 countries. Cristian started his career as a consultant (2001 - 2004) at TPA Horwath Group, one of the leading tax advisory and auditing companies with offices worldwide.

Cristian has a deep sense of civic duty and donated his time and services to various non-profits, serving on the Board of Directors of the Blue Heron Foundation, a non-profit organization, which has invested $1.5 million in college scholarships and helped 3,000 Romanian and Moldovan orphaned and abandoned teenagers live a better life.


During 2005-2006, Cristian was the Treasurer for Junior Chamber International (JCI) Romania and also served as a member JCI Romania’s Board of Directors. JCI is the biggest international organization of young leaders and entrepreneurs with 200,000+ members in over 100 countries. Cristian developed close relationships with the Dutch and Belgian communities in Romania and serves on the Board of Directors of the Dutch Association and the Belgian Connection. Cristian is active volunteer and donor for the International Women’s Association (IWA) helping raise funds for various charitable purposes through IWA’s annual Christmas Bazaar and serving as the Treasurer and Administrator of the non-profit.

Cristian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economic Studies from the Bucharest University and a law degree in Corporate Law from The Romanian-American University in Bucharest. In addition, Cristian completed the Negotiation Program for Senior Executives at Harvard University and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Cambridge University.

Cristian is fluent in English and Romanian and semi-fluent in Dutch, French and Italian.
